Practical notes

What guests should bring or know

Healthy nettle or comfrey plants, approved harvesting area, clean brewing vessel, water, shaded brewing location, straining equipment and a crop selected for application.

Safety notes

Gloves should be worn while harvesting and handling stinging nettle. Only positively identified plants should be used. The finished tea should be applied according to the Advent Center’s crop-specific dilution and application protocol rather than used indiscriminately.

Accessibility notes

Garden participation can involve uneven ground, bending, harvesting, chopping plant material and handling containers. Seated preparation, labeling, straining and watering roles can be arranged; confirm step-free access and task adaptations with the host.

Seasonality notes

Available May–September; best June–August. Plant supply, crop readiness and safe weather govern each dated workshop.
