Yes—high‑speed Wi‑Fi is available in common areas. We encourage limited use to support community interaction and spiritual focus. Consider this a digital‑detox opportunity.

We have a shared WhatsApp group where photos are shared by various members (it is our own private social media site) that allows alumni to stay in the loop even after departing. Expect that by coming your name and photos will be in the group. We also have Facebook and Instagram accounts but post sporadically, if you wish not to have your photo on our external social feed (or request to approve photos posted to it) please notify of this.

It is recommended to have personal health and travel insurance as you are responsible for your medical needs and travel arrangements.

We're in central Romania, about 24 km south of Făgăraș. Details and directions are provided after acceptance. Limited pick‑ups may be possible by arrangement.

Sturdy work clothes and shoes, modest everyday clothing, Bible/notebook, water bottle, personal toiletries, any needed medications, and a willing spirit to learn and serve.

Families are welcome on a case‑by‑case basis, considering safety and space. Pets are limited due to wildlife, allergies, and shared spaces—please ask before planning to bring one.

Approved volunteers participate via work‑exchange (accommodation and meals provided). There is no money exchanged.

English is the official language as we welcome guests from many countries; simple, clear communication is appreciated.

We are a vegan community. We provide two communal meals per day, with access to the kitchen for an evening snack. We avoid animal products, caffeine, and processed sugar. All guests help with meal prep and cleanup. If you have dietary restrictions, let us know before confirming your stay.

We offer private cabins (when available), tent spaces, and RV parking. All options include access to shared bathrooms, a vegan kitchen, and common areas. Placement depends on availability and length of stay.

In exchange for accommodation and meals, volunteers contribute 25 hours per week toward community needs (e.g., landscaping, gardening, maintenance, meal prep, food preservation). Everyone is expected to clean up and support shared tasks.

We accept visitors for one week through volunteer platforms like Workaway or WWOOF. Many stay longer. Responsibility scales with time:

Week 1: Exposure to our culture and homesteading tasks.

After 1 week: Take ownership of a specific role.

After 1 month: Own an area of responsibility.

After 3+ months: Lead a department.

The Advent Center is an intentional community focused on spiritual growth, sustainable living, and missional entrepreneurship. We welcome visitors who want to experience community life and contribute to a shared mission.

We practice benevolent leadership with role‑based authority: a seat at the table comes with responsibility. As directors of departments emerge, decision‑making naturally broadens.

From Friday sundown to Saturday sundown we rest and worship: no commerce or non‑essential labor, with time for Scripture, prayer, fellowship, and nature.

"Keep it calm, clean, and kind." Temperance (no alcohol, drugs, tobacco/vapes, caffeine, or processed sugar), a whole‑food plant‑based kitchen, digital restraint, punctuality, and respect for conscience. All visitors read and agree to the full guidelines before arrival.

We anchor our days at 7am, 1pm, 7pm for worship/connection, meal, and evening gathering. Quiet hours are 9pm–7am.

We are a Christian community and welcome people of all backgrounds who are open to spiritual exploration and respectful of our values. Our aim isn't to "convert," but to encourage everyone to think for themselves and pursue truth. "Study to shew thyself approved unto God…" 2 Timothy 2:15
