Neighbor Skill & Service Exchange is a guided Sunday visit to help an older neighbor, farmer, household or family with a real task they have identified. The experience begins by listening. We meet the neighbor, learn so...
Work clothes appropriate to the confirmed task, closed shoes, water, sun or rain protection and respectful conduct around private homes and property.
The facilitator must inspect the task beforehand. Participants must not use chainsaws, hazardous chemicals, unstable ladders, powered machinery or other high-risk equipment unless separately trained, authorized and supervised. Photos, testimonies and identifying information require the neighbor’s explicit consent.
Physical demands vary by task and must be confirmed before booking; suitable roles should be identified where possible.
Outdoor service is normally March–November. Suitable indoor neighbor needs may be arranged year-round.
