One week. One time. One purpose.

Volunteer Week is a defined introduction to the life and work of Berivoi. Come to serve, experience the rhythm, and discern your next step. The week ends as scheduled. Any future role requires a separate application and acceptance.

Volunteer Week is not an open-ended stay or a promise of personal mentorship. Completion does not guarantee staff acceptance, and accommodation is assigned only after acceptance.

The Volunteer Week commitment

Fixed Friday to Friday

Choose a published seven-day window. There is no automatic extension.

Morning work and shared anchors

Contribute usefully and join the center’s worship, meal, work, and quiet-time rhythm.

Mutual discernment

Experience real community life. A future staff role requires a separate listed opening, application, and decision.

Serve / Staff

Carry a process, not merely a list of tasks.

Staff roles are for people ready to take responsibility for a real area of the center. Staff serve both work shifts, maintain standards, solve problems, and help the place move forward.

Every role has fixed start and end dates, a supervisor and department, defined outcomes, an initial probation period, and a new agreement for any extension. Mentorship with Rob is not included unless a role is explicitly published as a Formation Fellowship.

Possible areas of responsibility

A department appears here only when Berivoi has a real opening with capacity and a supervisor.

Land and food systems

Annual garden; perennials and food forest; greenhouse and propagation; beneficial insects and habitat; kitchen and food preservation.

Place and household

Landscaping and grounds; housekeeping and domestic operations; maintenance and construction; hospitality.

Administration and systems

Own clear processes, keep reliable records, solve operational problems, and strengthen the work.
